Paços de Brandão Sports Club Upgrades to Next-Generation Turf with ACT Sports
Paços de Brandão Sports Club has taken a decisive step forward in its sporting development with the installation of a brand-new football pitch featuring ACT Sports’ #ICON S 50/130 synthetic turf system.
A New Era for Football in Paços de Brandão
Located in Paços de Brandão, Portugal, this project represents a major upgrade designed to enhance performance, safety, and long-term sustainability for athletes across all levels
Delivered in collaboration with Sintese Modus, the project reflects a shared commitment to quality infrastructure and innovation in grassroots and competitive football.
From Worn-Out Surface to High-Performance Pitch
The replacement of the previous surface was essential due to significant wear and inadequate playing conditions. The intervention went far beyond simply installing a new pitch:
A new drainage base system was constructed The terrain was carefully re-leveled to ensure optimal playability The outdated bituminous surface was fully upgraded A modern irrigation system with sprinklers replaced the older cannon-based solution
The result is a softer, more comfortable, and cooler playing surface, significantly improving usability and player experience while ensuring greater durability over time.
Boosting Player Development and Club Ambition
The introduction of the ACT Sports system is already having a positive impact on the club’s sporting environment. The new pitch provides: Enhanced training and match conditions for all age groups A more professional and motivating environment for athletes Improved consistency and performance on the field
A key highlight of this project is the club’s strategic partnership with CFC High School – “Campeão Formando Campeões by Dani Alves”, a pioneering initiative in Portugal. This collaboration strengthens the club’s commitment to elite player development, creating a platform for nurturing talent and supporting long-term sporting growth.
Aesthetic Excellence Meets Technical Performance
The installed #ICON S 50/130 turf system stands out not only for its technical attributes but also for its impressive natural look. The fibers deliver:
High resilience and durability
Excellent playing comfort
A visual appearance close to natural grass
This combination enhances both the functionality and the overall perception of the facility, benefiting players, coaches, and visitors alike.
Strong Collaboration with ACT Sports
The partnership with ACT Sports has been described as extremely positive by all stakeholders involved. From product quality to project execution, every stage met high expectations.
The final result is a modern, high-quality football infrastructure that elevates the club’s standards and positions Paços de Brandão Sports Club for future success.
