Sand-dressed hockey turf pitch for Roeselare Rangers

Since its founding in 2013, Belgian hockey Club Roeselare Rangers has grown to an impressive 600 members. With only one pitch, scheduling training sessions and matches became an increasingly difficult puzzle. To solve this, the club invested in a second pitch to double its capacity. In collaboration with our partner Stadsbader, Act Sports delivered a brand-new sand-dressed hockey turf pitch.

When searching for a partner to bring his project to life, club chairman Michiel Van Eeckhoutte found Act Sports. "There was an immediate connection with their team. They guided us through different options and helped us select the best solution for our club."

"Act Sports understood our challenges from the start and quickly helped us find a suitable solution."

"We opted for a sand-dressed system," says Ronnie Rook, Sales Manager at Act Sports. "This system has a denser fiber structure and requires less sand than a sand-filled system, making it the ideal surface for both training sessions and competitive games. Moreover, it's an important milestone for Act Sports, as it is our first pitch in Belgium on behalf of Beaulieu International Group."

Stadsbader X Act Sports

The project at Roeselare Rangers marks the first time Act Sports and Stadsbader have joined forces. "As a West Flemish company, it’s truly rewarding to support a local, ambitious hockey club with a new pitch," says Jeroen Coudyzer, Site Manager at Stadsbader. "This achievement is a testament to the strength of our partnership with Act Sports, working together as one top team."

A festive celebration

During the opening ceremony of the new pitch, attended by many players and fans, Michiel Van Eeckhoutte looked back and ahead. "Everything went exactly as I'd hoped. The collaboration with Act Sports and Stadsbader was excellent. We're ready for another great season and many more to come." Roeselare Rangers player Cézanne Van Eeckhoutte echoed this sentiment: "We're all excited to play top-level games on the new pitch—and, of course, to win a lot!"
