El Comodín Tennis Club relies on Act Sports artificial grass to renovate its courts 

Located in one of the most exclusive areas of Ibiza, the El Comodín Club has taken a step forward to make its facilities a reference on the island. The club has decided to completely transform its sporting experience by renovating all its tennis courts with the Act Sports system, a leader in artificial grass solutions for sports facilities, to offer maximum performance to both amateur and professional players. 

A project that makes a difference in Ibiza

Since its creation, the Comodín Club has stood out for offering its neighbours and members high quality sports facilities. In its aim to remain at the forefront and to continue offering the best facilities, the club wanted to renovate the pavement of its five tennis courts.

This development not only improves the playing experience, but also reinforces the positioning of a historic complex on the island, adapting it to current standards of quality and performance.

The collaboration between Act Sports and Solves Sports, a leading firm in tennis and padel court construction, has been instrumental in integrating advanced technical solutions, such as the #Advance system. This system was specifically selected for this project due to its exceptional durability, high performance and ability to withstand the Mediterranean climate.

Solves Sports' technical expertise, combined with Act Sports' systems, has enabled a transformation that improves playing conditions and enhances the overall value of the club's facilities. This strategic alliance has enabled us to optimise resources, reduce time, and guarantee a final result that meets the most demanding standards.

#Advance: take your game to the next level! 

For the renovation of its tennis courts, the club has opted for a state-of-the-art product that meets the high demands of the modern game. The #Advance system by Act Sports is characterised by its resistance, durability and responsiveness to fast play, as well as a warm and distinctive aesthetic that simulates clay and harmonises with the natural environment of Ibiza.

The #Advance system has been developed with a series of properties that guarantee maximum performance in sports facilities, even in conditions of intensive use such as those of the El Comodín Club.

Main characteristics

High durability and shape recovery: The #Advance system has been designed with quality straight monofilament that provides excellent recovery capacity, maintaining its structure and uniform appearance even after intensive playing sessions.

Playing comfort, even after hours of use: The composition of the #Advance system incorporates a shock-absorbing base, reducing the load on the joints and minimising the risk of fatigue and injury.

Improved ball control: The surface allows for a more predictable and regular bounce, which offers greater control of the game, favouring the development of a fluid and technical game.

India is raising the standard of hockey with new FIH-certified pitches from Act Sports

As part of the 2024 Indian National Games, Uttarakhand has taken decisive action to promote the growth of hockey in northern India.

In collaboration with Act Sports and its local partner, Rayzon Global LLP — one of the country's leading sports infrastructure companies — two hockey pitches have been installed in the city of Haldwani. These include a competition surface approved by the International Hockey Federation (FIH).

A progress backed by quality certification

To achieve this goal, Uttarakhand turned to Act Sports for their high-quality artificial sports turf systems. The project involved installing two pitches: the main pitch at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, a full-size Hockey 11 pitch with FIH Category 2 certification suitable for state, national and international tournaments, and a Hockey 5s pitch. The latter is a more compact and accessible format, making it ideal for training, schools and amateur matches.

Both pitches feature the old #XtremeTurf NFH13 hockey system, now call #AllStar LX, which is installed over a 15 mm elastic layer to provide excellent playing performance, player safety and long-term durability.

We are delighted to have delivered this FIH-certified hockey pitch in partnership with Rayzon Global. As a leading global manufacturer, we produce some of the world's best hockey turf systems at our European manufacturing base. However, as an FIH Preferred Turf Supplier, our responsibilities extend beyond manufacturing to entail subbase construction, installation and maintenance.

Boosting sport in India with a strategic partnership

The collaboration between Rayzon Global and Act Sports resulted in the successful delivery of an FIH-certified hockey pitch in India, marking a significant milestone in the development of high-level sports infrastructure in the country.

Advanced technical solutions were incorporated into the project, including sub-bases adapted to local weather conditions, shock-absorbing layers focused on player comfort and safety, and precise installation to ensure lasting performance.

FIH certification on this project is more than just a technical label, it raises the overall quality standard of the sport in India, proving that high-performance facilities and grassroots development can go hand in hand.
